A leading scientific data and software organisation is seeking a Technical Sales Specialist to help accelerate pharmaceutical R&D by working closely with scientists at the forefront of drug discovery.
You will play a critical role in advancing the organisation’s mission by building trusted relationships with life‑science professionals and converting scientific need into long‑term customer value.
You will own the full sales cycle, from prospecting through to close across new and renewal business.
Key Responsibilities:
* Identify and engage prospective users, uncovering scientific and commercial pain points
* Position data and software solutions to solve real drug discovery challenges
* Manage a healthy, accurate pipeline across the full sales funnel
* Negotiate single‑ and multi‑year licence agreements
* Deliver compelling presentations at customer sites and scientific conferences
* Identify new markets and growth opportunities
* Grow and retain existing accounts, including upsell opportunities
* Coordinate internal scientific and technical teams to drive sales success
Profile:
* Degree‑educated (or equivalent) in chemistry, biology, or a related field
* Ideally familiar with drug discovery and pharmaceutical R&D
* Skilled in consultative selling, with strong communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities
* Disciplined in managing complex, strategic sales processes
* Comfortable operating remotely, with willingness to travel regularly
