Quantity Surveyor / Estimator – Civil Engineering Permanent Location: Cumbernauld Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 DOE + benefits package Ref: GR1477 Gibson Recruitment Limited Your New Role: Civil Engineering Contractor with an expanding team and spread of projects across Central Scotland have a requirement for a Quantity Surveyor to join them on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing Contractor as they extend their presence in the Scottish Construction Industry. Applications are encouraged from individuals who have a QUANTITY SURVEYING background withing a CIVIL ENGINEERING or GROUNDWORKS environment, and also individuals who have a CIVIL ENGINEERING qualification and have demonstrable experience as a SITE ENGINEER prior to transitioning into an ESTIMATING role. Responsibilities: * Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for a range of civil engineering works. * Review and interpret tender documentation, specifications, and drawings. * Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations and technical input. * Produce Bills of Quantities and take-offs from drawings. * Identify and assess risks associated with project tenders. * Support bid submissions and presentations to clients. * Work closely with operational and commercial teams to ensure tender proposals are achievable and competitive.
