Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Advertising Sales Account Manager, based in Pocklington. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with local businesses, understanding their needs, and offering tailored advertising solutions in the On Your Doorstep publications. Daily tasks include identifying and reaching out to prospective clients, managing an existing portfolio of advertisers, negotiating and closing sales, and ensuring client satisfaction through consistent communication and support. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with team members to achieve sales targets and maintaining thorough local knowledge to better serve the community.
Qualifications
* Sales and negotiation skills, including the ability to identify potential clients, present advertising solutions, and close deals effectively
* Strong verbal and written communication skills to cultivate relationships with clients and deliver tailored advertising plans
* Customer relationship management and account management experience to ensure high levels of client satisfaction
* Organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple accounts and meet sales targets
* Knowledge of local markets and a passion for supporting community-driven initiatives is a plus
* Proficiency in basic computer programs and CRM software is desirable
* A self-motivated and goal-oriented mindset
* Previous experience in advertising or sales roles is preferred but not required
