Job Description:
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Tax Senior to join a growing and supportive accountancy practice. This role offers the chance to work with a diverse client base, ranging from sole traders to high-net-worth individuals and owner-managed businesses. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality personal tax services while supporting wider advisory work and building strong client relationships.
The role involves:
* Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients, including high-net-worth individuals, directors and business owners
* Preparing and reviewing self-assessment tax returns, supporting junior team members where required
* Providing tax advice across areas such as capital gains tax, VAT and aspects of corporation tax
* Supporting senior team members with advisory projects and technical tax queries
* Liaising with HMRC and handling client correspondence effectively
* Meeting with prospective clients to understand their needs and present tailored solutions
Youll need:
* Previous experience in personal tax within a UK accountancy practice
* ATT qualified, part-qualified CTA or qualified by experience
* Broad awareness of UK tax areas beyond personal tax
* Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach
* Confidence in dealing directly with clients and supporting colleagues
* Experience with IRIS software is advantageous but not essential
