We're looking for a dedicated and experienced Head Chef to join our team at Halsey House Care Home in Cromer, Norfolk.

Position Details
This is a full-time, permanent role, working 37.5 hours per week over 7 days, including some weekend shifts.

Role Responsibilities
1. Lead our catering team and ensure residents enjoy nutritious and delicious meals.
2. Plan, prepare, and serve well-balanced, nutritious meals catering to various dietary needs within standards and budgets.
3. Manage catering staff and the dining supervisor, fostering a positive and safe working environment.
4. Collaborate with the General Manager to oversee the department's budget, ensure compliance with legislation, and develop standard operating procedures.
5. Oversee food ordering, stock control, and kitchen budget management.
Qualifications and Experience
* City & Guilds 706 (1&2) in Food Preparation or Level 3 in Food Preparation and Cooking, Culinary Arts, or equivalent.
* Level 3 First Aid at Work certification.
* Proven experience catering for individuals with specific dietary needs (e.g., IDDSI texture modified diets and allergens).
* Experience working in a care home or similar setting.
* Excellent leadership and organisational skills.
