We’re seeking an accomplished Head of Finance to lead our UK finance operations and act as a key strategic partner to senior leadership. This is a rare opportunity to build and lead a high-performing finance function, driving insight, growth, and financial excellence across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
Commercial Financial Planning & Analysis
* Analyse financial data to identify trends, variances, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
* Conduct scenario analysis and risk management to inform strategic decision-making.
* Deliver regular financial reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights for stakeholders.
* Perform variance analysis to explain differences between actual and budgeted performance.
* Develop robust financial models to forecast performance, including revenue, costs, and profitability.
* Support the annual budgeting process and ensure alignment with strategic business goals.
Financial Leadership
* Establish and lead a high-performing UK finance team following best practices.
* Manage relationships with local transaction banks and oversee credit management.
* Act as the UK authority on local accounting principles, tax, and regulatory requirements.
* Prepare and review accurate financial statements in compliance with IFRS and group standards.
* Ensure efficient month-end and year-end closing processes, reporting results to Group HQ.
* Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Business Partnering
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams — including Sales, Marketing, and Operations — to provide strategic financial support.
* Act as a trusted advisor to senior management, offering insights and challenging thinking to drive better business outcomes.
* Support strategic initiatives and projects through sound financial analysis and scenario planning.
Compliance & Controls
* Ensure full compliance with UK statutory and regulatory requirements.
* Maintain rigorous internal controls and support internal and external audit processes.
* Secure accounting and closing procedures according to group standards.
* Provide business control and performance analysis across UK operations.
* Support M&A activities, including due diligence and post-acquisition integration.
About You
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with extensive post-qualification experience.
* Proven track record in senior finance leadership, ideally within an international or group structure.
* Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
* Exceptional leadership skills with experience building and developing high-performing teams.
* Thorough understanding of UK accounting standards, tax regulations, and IFRS reporting.
* Commercially minded, with the confidence to challenge and shape business strategy.
