About the Role
As the business continues to grow, they are looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable Agronomist to join their friendly and experienced team. Covering the South Gloucestershire and North Somerset area, you will take over a number of existing accounts and be responsible for developing new business relationships across the region.
What you will be doing
1. Take over a number of existing accounts and maintain strong, trusted client relationships.
2. Provide on farm agronomic advice, including crop planning, soil health, pest and disease management, and nutrient strategies.
3. Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the region.
4. Recommend and support the sale of agricultural inputs, including seed, fertiliser, and crop protection products.
5. Conduct field assessments, soil sampling, and analysis to guide recommendations.
6. Keep detailed records and ensure timely communication and follow ups with clients.
7. Stay current with industry developments, compliance regulations, and product innovations.
What you need
8. BASIS and FACTS qualifications (or a willingness to work towards them).
9. Proven experience in agronomy, crop advisory, technical agricultural sales or farm management.
10. Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
11. Commercial acumen with a proactive approach to business development.
12. Self motivated and organised, with the ability to work independently across a defined territory.
13. Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel within the region.
