About the Role:
As a Floor Layer, you will work alongside Dover Council, delivering a stable and profitable contract, providing excellent service through our local teams, who understand the importance of teamwork for the community.
Your responsibilities include a range of flooring tasks, such as renewing sheet vinyl, which involves measuring, cutting, laying, and sealing for durability. You will also work with tiles, including ceramic, requiring precise cutting, adhesive application, and grouting. Installing cap and cove wet room floors involves creating waterproof, seamless surfaces with proper joint sealing. Preparation tasks include cleaning, repairing, priming, and applying self-levelling compounds or screed to ensure a smooth base. Each task requires a good understanding of materials and techniques for a professional finish.
Role Criteria:
* UK Full driving licence
* Own hand and power tools
* Previous experience as a floor layer
* Experience with Cap and Cove
All roles require entitlement to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not offered. To drive a Mears vehicle, candidates must be over 21, have held their licence for over 3 months, and have fewer than 9 points.
