Robert Half Accountancy and Finance is recruiting for a Cost Accountant to join a highly successful manufacturing business based in Pontefract.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Analyse daily variances, including yield, substitution, giveaway, and waste cost
2. Prepare reports for labor, packaging, cooking, distribution, and storage costs
3. Update and maintain system data
4. Manage stock reconciliations and ensure reporting accuracy across all areas
5. Review costs and yields for product pricing, tenders, and renewals
6. Work closely with operational teams to align reporting and standards
What we're looking for:
7. Part-qualified finance professional or QBE Cost Accountant
8. Experience in cost accounting or a related finance role
9. Strong communication skills to collaborate across teams
10. A proactive approach to identifying and solving problems
