Your Role and Responsibilities
As an Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design lifecycle, working alongside Senior and Principal Engineers.
Work on detailed design and calculation of HVAC, public health, and mechanical services for prestigious commercial and mixed-use projects.
Produce technical reports, specifications, and system schematics from concept (RIBA Stage 2) through to construction documentation (RIBA Stage 4/5).
Utilise industry-standard software (e.g., Hevacomp, IES, Revit) to deliver energy-efficient and low-carbon solutions.
Engage directly with clients and external project teams (architects, structural engineers) on design strategy and coordination.
What We Are Looking For (Essential Skills)
A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Mechanical Design Engineering within a UK-based Building Services consultancy.
Design experience within the Commercial and Mixed-Use sectors.
Proficiency in Revit MEP for model authoring and coordination is highly desirable.
Working knowledge of UK building regulations and sustainability standards (Part L, BREEAM, WELL).
A relevant degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
