Job Summary
This role plays a vital part in the nation's security while supporting equipment used by the British Army.
The Vehicle Technician - Apprenticeship Coach is responsible for managing over 50,000 vehicles, from quad bikes to main battle tanks and weapons.
This is a full-time position working 37 hours per week with a fixed-term contract that requires remote work and occasional travel to various sites across the region.
Key Responsibilities
* Support and motivate learners throughout their apprenticeship programme, ensuring timely completion of all components and meeting relevant requirements.
* Monitor and review learner progress according to customer expectations.
* Maintain accurate documentation and meet agreed timelines.
* Provide guidance on portfolio building and individual learner progress tracking.
Requirements
This role demands considerable experience in vehicle mechanics and a good understanding of work-based learning programmes.
Prior experience in the defence sector, preferably within the army arena, is highly desirable.
* Essential Qualifications:
* A relevant industry-related qualification (Vehicle Mechanic minimum Level 3)
* GCSE Maths and English – Grade C or above (or equivalent)
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
