WE’RE HIRING: COACHES WHO ACTUALLY CARE ABOUT PEOPLE
The Club – Fleet
We’re looking for a full-time Coach to join our small, close-knit team at The Club.
This role is not for loud egos, fitness influencers, or people chasing their own brand.
It is for someone early in their coaching career who loves people, wants to learn, and genuinely cares about doing a great job.
About The Club
We’re a friendly, non-intimidating personal training facility where people come to feel supported, seen, and confident — many of our members are beginners, over 40, anxious about gyms, or returning from injury.
We’re relaxed, human, and adaptable.
We’re not corporate.
We make mistakes, learn fast, and always put our coaches and members first.
The Role
As a Coach at The Club, you’ll play a huge part in shaping our community and helping members get real, lasting results.
You’ll:
Coach small-group strength sessions (max 10 people)
Build genuine rapport with members (you’ll know names, injuries, personalities)
Support members with training and basic nutrition guidance
Carry out consultations and review calls (this is our version of sales - helping people properly)
Check in with members between sessions and support retention
Celebrating milestones and progress
Contribute to a positive, supportive team environment
Take part in weekly team meetings and development sessions
There is admin, follow-ups, and set-up involved.
There are early and late shifts, and one Saturday every three weeks.
We’re a small team - we look after each other.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone early-career and moldable, who wants to grow into a brilliant coach.
You don’t need to know everything - we actually prefer that you don’t.
You’ll thrive here if you:
Have strong emotional intelligence
Are proactive and reliable
Care deeply about helping people
Can empathise with anxious, new, or injured members
Can also confidently motivate and push when it’s appropriate
Enjoy being part of a team and putting the club first
Are organised, punctual, and take responsibility
Want to build a career, not just fill hours
You’ll need:
A PT Level 2/3, Sports Science degree, or similar qualification
Some experience of coaching or interning (gym, S&C, PT, etc.)
This Role Is Not For You If:
You think you already know best
You struggle to take initiative or need constant direction
You’re mainly focused on yourself rather than the team
You dislike sales conversations (helping people commit is part of the job)
You want a hardcore, high-pressure, corporate gym environment
No egos. No arrogance. No lone wolves.
What We Offer
Full-time salaried position up to £27,500 per annum
Commission and bonus incentives
Paid holidays
Pension scheme
Ongoing professional development
Clear (and realistic) progression as the business grows
A genuinely supportive, relaxed working environment
A team that wants you to succeed
If you care about people, we’ll grow together.
