NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
This is a fixed-term post of 12 months and the shift pattern for this post is 7 day shifts.
Please note the salary is pro rata for part time hours.
Clyde Haematology is looking for an individual to work as a Band 6 Specialist Biomedical Scientist. Biomedical Scientists provide the core technical staffing for the Department. They work individually and as a team to analyse and validate a broad range of specialist and routine laboratory diagnostic investigations in Haematology/Blood Transfusion. They provide 24/7 shifts to maintain services and lone work at present for 50% of this rota. The post requires a BSc in Biomedical Science plus HCPC registration.
