* Full-time Floating Support Worker: Permanent, in Newport, supporting individuals experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
* Full-time Floating Support Worker: Permanent, in Newport Lighthouse Project.
* Full-time Project Worker: 37 hours, permanent, in Barry Offenders Project, supporting individuals involved in the criminal justice system.
* Floating Support Worker: 37 hours, permanent, in Bridgend, supporting individuals in a step-down project.
Overview
Essential: a valid driver’s license and access to a car.
What’s Great About the Role?
You will inspire, challenge, and enable people to lead successful and independent lives, working flexibly as part of a team to develop and review support plans tailored to individual needs and aspirations.
You will support individuals in semi-independent living, helping them manage tenancies and secure permanent accommodation through local authorities, RSLs, or PRS. The role involves collaborating with external agencies to support vulnerable clients in making positive life choices.
Candidate Requirements
* Reliability and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Basic IT and numerical skills.
Typical Day
* Working with people to make a difference.
* Managing a caseload of clients with diverse needs.
* Providing housing-related support to maintain or establish tenancies and prevent homelessness.
* Collaborating with agencies like Social Services, landlords, and support services.
* Offering sensitive support respecting clients' emotional and intellectual needs.
Pay and Benefits
* Salary: £24,531.00 for full-time roles.
* Work pattern: Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00, with some flexibility.
* Benefits include training, progression, sick pay, enhanced DBS, counselling services, and long service awards.
