We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Stratford-upon-Avon, starting ASAP. As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support the planning, delivery, and evaluation of learning activities. You will assist children individually or in small groups, providing targeted support to help them reach their full potential, particularly in areas such as literacy, numeracy, communication, and social-emotional development.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the EYFS teacher in delivering daily classroom activities
* Provide 1:1 or small-group support to children as needed
* Assist in planning and preparing engaging, play-based learning activities
* Observe and record children’s progress to support assessment and planning
* Encourage positive behaviour, independence, and confidence in learning
* Support routines such as snack time, toileting, and outdoor play
* Promote social interaction and development of communication skills
* Work collaboratively with colleagues and other support staff
* Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
* Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies at all times
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will:
* Have experience working with young children, ideally in EYFS or nursery settings
* Be patient, caring, and enthusiastic about early years education
* Understand child development and learning styles in the early years
* Be proactive, adaptable, and able to work as part of a team
* Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
