Overview
English Teacher – Full-time, flexible short-term and long-term opportunities available immediately. These flexible opportunities are ideal for teachers who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different secondary school settings. You’ll be supporting schools in Ashburton and the surrounding areas, teaching English across Key Stages.
Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging lessons across the English curriculum following provided plans
* Plan and prepare lessons in line with the national curriculum
* Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress, providing constructive feedback
* Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
* Manage behaviour effectively in accordance with school policies
* Contribute to departmental planning and whole-school initiatives
Qualifications
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Strong subject knowledge in English literature and language
* Ability to inspire and motivate students of varying abilities
* Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils
* Adaptable and confident working in a long-term or supply role
