Due to increasing global demand for our custom automation solutions and innovative robotic laboratory products, we are expanding our team to support continued growth and innovation.

This role is for candidates who are due to graduate in summer 2025 and are available to start between August and November.

Are you a tinkerer who loves creating? Do you have a degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Robotics Engineering?

As a Graduate Robotics Engineer, you will collaborate with experienced engineers to design, develop, and implement robotic systems and automation solutions. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience, develop your technical skills, and contribute to real-world projects from day one. For graduates who demonstrate strong leadership qualities, this role offers a clear pathway toward project leadership positions—allowing you to take ownership of a team and manage high-impact robotics projects.

What You Will Do

* Develop electro-mechanical automation systems by researching, analysing, selecting, and applying engineering concepts, techniques, and criteria—these may include mechanics, optics, electronics, pneumatics, and computer applications.
* Adapt and modify electro-mechanical systems; prepare drawings, schematics, and diagrams using Computer-Aided Design (CAD).
* Collaborate with design teams, evaluate components, materials, and suppliers, resolve design integration/interface issues, and establish design specifications and safety standards.
* Participate in customer-facing meetings, discussing ideas, future projects, and system improvements.
* Organise design projects, including preparing schedules, cost estimates, and resource plans.
* Document design features, operational requirements, safety considerations, and support needs.
* Coordinate team actions, review issues, contribute to meetings, and guide technicians.

What You Will Bring

* A degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical/Electronic Engineering
* A strong interest in robotics, automation, and embedded systems
* Basic programming knowledge (Python, C#, C++, or similar)
* Ability to use CAD tools and/or simulation software (e.g., SolidWorks, MATLAB, ROS)
* Excellent critical thinking and attention to detail
* Strong communication and teamwork skills

Desirable (but not essential)

* Internship or project experience in robotics or automation
* Exposure to ROS (Robot Operating System) or similar platforms
* Understanding of sensors, actuators, and control systems

What We Offer

* The opportunity to build a long-term career at a company experiencing consistent growth
* A culture of ownership and collaboration, where everyone feels part of the team
* The chance to develop systems for global clients
* 33 days of annual holiday (increasing to 38 over 5 years), including public holidays
* Company profit-sharing scheme
* 5% employer pension contribution on full salary
* Travel opportunities in various roles
* Access to a counsellor, psychotherapist, and physiotherapist
* CPD support and paid annual subscription to an appropriate professional body
