Welding Operative (MIG) – Revised Description Job Title: Welding Operative – MIG Hours: 39 hours per week – 2-week rotating shift pattern Shift Patterns: * Week 1: Mon–Thu 6am–2pm, Fri 6am–1pm * Week 2: Mon–Thu 2pm–10pm, Fri 1pm–8pm Overview: A skilled MIG Welder is required to join a fast-paced production environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for welding a variety of metal components to set specifications, ensuring high levels of accuracy and quality. Key Responsibilities: * Perform MIG welding on a range of metals including mild steel and pre-galvanised materials. * Read and follow engineering drawings or work instructions. * Inspect welds and finished parts to ensure compliance with quality standards. * Maintain welding equipment and ensure safe use at all times. * Work to daily production targets while maintaining consistent quality output. * Support general fabrication or assembly tasks when required. * Follow Health & Safety standards and contribute to a safe working environment. What You’ll Bring: * Previous experience as a Production MIG Welder (essential). * Ability to weld mild steel and pre-galve to a consistent standard. * Good understanding of welding procedures and safe working practices. * Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. * Ability to work within a rotating shift pattern. * Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently or within a team
