You can find out more about this here Role: Board Trustee Location: Remote with occasional requirements to travel to our services across Wales for in-person meetings Hours: You will attend board meetings every other month and committee meetings in addition to this (four meeting per year for each committee you are on) Salary: This is an unpaid position with reasonable expenses paid Contract: Fixed term contract for three years Process: There will be an opportunity to have an initial discussion regarding the role, online, week commencing 10th November. Interviews are expected to take place in-person on Wednesday 19th November. Venue TBC What you’ll be doing As a Board Trustee you’ll review and monitor the strategic direction and goals of Cartrefi and ensure the organisation adheres to it’s mission, vision and values. You’ll do this by overseeing and supporting the CEO and leadership team in implementing strategic initiatives. You’ll scrutinise and approve our business plan and annual budget and approve key policies. It will be your role to take decisions on matters reserved for the Board and ensure the highest level of governance and due diligence. You’ll also consider opportunities for consultation where possible. You’ll attend board meetings, away-days and co-operative meetings. You’ll sit on committees, taking a special interest in the relevant area and you’ll contribute to projects at the request of the Executive. Who we are looking for To enrich our Board, we’re looking for people with a background in one of the following; accountancy, legal or housing. We’re also keen to hear from you if you have lived experience with learning difficulties or autism. You’ll be able to think strategically, have strong analytical skills and an awareness of the political, social and economic impacts on the people we support. It’s vital that you’re an excellent communicator and team-player who can adapt your style to the situation and someone who welcomes constructive feedback.
