Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting face-to-face Tutors to work flexibly with children and young people across Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire. This role is ideal for qualified teachers or experienced educators who are available from as little as 1 day per week up to full time, depending on your availability and preferences.
This is a temporary position, with opportunities for short-term and longer-term tutoring placements. Further details around availability, locations and student needs can be discussed by contacting the details below.
Tutoring assignments may take place in a variety of settings, including students' homes, schools, alternative provisions or community venues, and will usually involve 1:1 or small-group support. Work may be focused on core subjects or your specialist area, depending on your experience and preferences.
The Role:
As a face-to-face Tutor, you will:
Deliver engaging, personalised learning sessions tailored to individual students' needs
Support learners who may be out of mainstream education or need additional academic or emotional support
Adapt teaching approaches to suit different learning styles and abilities
Monitor progress and provide feedback to relevant professionals
Follow safeguarding procedures and report any concerns to the appropriate safeguarding lead
Consistency is extremely important, so many placements will be ongoing with the same learner(s), allowing you to build strong, supportive relationships and make a meaningful impact.
Pay:
Competitive hourly rates, dependent on experience, qualifications and location
Longer-term or higher-commitment placements may offer enhanced rates

Tradewind will support you throughout your placement and beyond with access to high-quality CPD through The National College. You'll receive the same development opportunities as permanent staff and be encouraged to continue growing professionally.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
A PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification (or significant tutoring/education experience)
Experience working with children or young people in the UK
An Enhanced DBS Disclosure (or willingness to apply), plus overseas police checks if applicable
A CV covering your full work history
