CNC Miller Setter / Operator:
A local engineering solutions company, specialising in high-precision machining of specialist products and materials, is seeking an experienced CNC Miller to join their team in Cornwall. Due to continued growth, they are again looking to expand the team and are looking for an ambitious and keen individual to join them on their journey.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
* Time-served apprenticeship or qualified by experience
* Equivalent NVQ / Diploma / BTEC in Engineering
* Other relevant short-course engineering qualifications will also be considered
Key Objectives & Responsibilities
* Setting and running 5-Axis and Vertical CNC milling machines
* Setting and operating XYZ Prototrak controls
* Interpreting engineering drawings and accurately applying them to machined components
* Producing high-quality components in line with engineering quality standards
* Working with both small and large batch sizes, including high-value components
* Meeting customer-specific deadlines while maintaining attention to detail
* Self-motivated and professional approach to work
Skills & Experience
* Strong understanding of precision machining techniques
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* High attention to detail and commitment to quality
* Experience working in a high-precision engineering environment
Salary & Benefits
* Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience
* Holiday: 20–25 days plus bank holidays (increasing with long service)

* Company sick pay scheme available after 12 months’ service
Working Hours (39-hour basic week)
* Day Shift:
Mon–Thurs: 7:30am – 4:30pm
Fri: 7:30am – 12:30pm
* Morning Shift:
Mon–Thurs: 6:00am – 2:00pm
Fri: 6:00am – 1:00pm
* Late Shift:
Mon–Thurs: 2:00pm – 10:00pm
Fri: 1:00pm – 8:00pm
