Overview
John Sisk & Son are seeking a Commercial Manager to join their UK Construction North Business Unit in Birmingham. The role involves taking overall responsibility for ensuring successful project outcomes, managing relationships, and maximizing commercial returns, in collaboration with the DiC /AM.

Responsibilities
1. Liaise with clients, their representatives, and third parties on commercial issues, including negotiations on additional monies.
2. Manage project costs and values, ensuring proper systems and procedures are in place.
3. Identify and negotiate unacceptable terms and conditions in contracts.
4. Possess detailed knowledge of project cost management systems and guide others accordingly.
5. Develop innovative systems to control and monitor direct works costs and financial performance.
6. Manage complex Project Cost Reporting systems, analyze data, and identify trends.
7. Propose actions in response to changing client and stakeholder needs and expectations.
Experience
1. Ability to develop, manage, and monitor complex project cost reporting systems, with data analysis skills.
2. Experience facilitating risk management, identifying and classifying project and business risks, and proposing solutions.
3. Strong negotiation skills to manage and lead negotiations for complex projects.
4. Experience managing disputes through various resolution processes, with legal understanding.
5. Demonstrated leadership supporting Sisk HSE Group vision and behaviors.
Qualifications
1. Relevant third-level qualification.
2. At least 8 years of experience in commercial civils management and leadership.
3. Excellent communication and analytical skills.
4. Experience with bonds, warranties, and insurances.
