Independent Prescribing Pharmacist – London (W1U), hybrid 1 day per week from the office, £60,000–£69,000 per annum, permanent, full‑time.
What you'll be doing?
* Provide medicated weight‑loss services, practising and prescribing independently, primarily through questionnaire‑based and algorithm‑assisted, and telephone consultations.
* Share the case‑load with an interdisciplinary clinical team of pharmacists, nurses and doctors, all holding similar consulting and prescribing responsibilities.
* Deliver compassionate care, upholding the highest standards of empathy, dignity and integrity.
* Drive good clinical governance and quality improvement, proactively identifying and preventing significant events and untoward incidents.
* Make autonomous decisions about presenting problems, assess patients’ needs, and develop care plans in line with internal guidelines.
* Complete clinical administrative duties, provide counselling and health education, refer patients for further intervention where required.
* Document clear and contemporaneous consultation notes and issue computer‑generated prescriptions, writing handwritten prescriptions only when exceptionally required.
* Prescribe in accordance with the Lloyds Pharmacy Online Doctor prescribing formulary when clinically appropriate.
* Participate in teaching, education, research and development of services, and write clinical content for internal and external communication.
* Ensure compliance with complaints systems, data protection, confidentiality and health and safety guidelines.
* Attend training, events and meetings organised by Lloyds Pharmacy Online Doctor or other agencies.
Who are we looking for?
* Independent prescriber qualification.
* GPhC registration.
* Experience handling customer complaints effectively.
* Energetic, empathetic communication skills.
* Excellent patient‑centred dispute management using first‑time resolution approach.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Proficient in Outlook, Excel, Word, MS Teams.
* A well‑organised and motivated approach to work.
