This apprenticeship is fully funded by the Government Apprenticeship Levy. Job summary You will be joining a team who provide supporting services to patients undergoing cancer treatments. You will primarily be involved in the planning of Radiotherapy treatments, which requires a good level of anatomical knowledge as well as the ability to problem solve and critically appraise treatment plans to ensure each patient receives the best treatment possible. Our role predominantly involves using CT imaging to find the most effective way to deliver a radiation dose to target structures whilst simultaneously protecting other vulnerable anatomy to minimise side effects. You will also have the opportunity to learn how the treatment machines work and assist with routine quality assurance testing to ensure these are operating within tight tolerances.
