Role Summary
This role will support the retail teams with clear and insightful financial information to help drive performance and cost control.
Purpose of the role:
1. Provide financial control whilst at the same time developing relationships within the business to provide support and insight to operational teams.
2. Preparation of periodic management accounts with variance analysis for review by Finance Manager and operational teams
3. Preparation of department Balance Sheet reconciliations
4. Assist in pulling together robust forecasts and budgets to measure business performance for store retail costs and head office departments
5. Preparation of a suite of weekly reports that support decision making by the business
6. Provide insightful analysis to support operational teams to understand the drivers of cost variances, proactively challenging performance when required
7. Support other members of the team and the business as required with ad hoc duties
Skills required:
8. Part qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) is desirable, but not essential.
9. Commercial awareness and the ability to highlight opportunities and add value.
10. Seeks to implement and improve processes
11. Accountability for own actions and results with an inquisitive mindset
12. Advanced Excel skills essential, SQL / Azure knowledge preferable.
13. Microsoft dynamics 365 experience would be advantageous.
