About the DT Department The Design & Technology Department is thriving and benefitting from: • Fully equipped workshops for Product Design, Engineering and Resistant Materials • CAD/CAM resources including 3D printers, laser cutters and CNC routers • Industry-standard software for design and technical modelling • Strong support from experienced technicians • A collaborative, creative team committed to innovation • Regular participation in regional STEM competitions and design challenges About the Role • Teaching DT across KS3–KS4 with potential for KS5 as your career develops • Planning engaging and practical lessons that develop creativity, problem-solving and technical skill • Supporting students with coursework, design portfolios and iterative project work • Participating fully in the school’s ECT induction programme • Contributing to extra-curricular clubs, engineering challenges or design projects • Working collaboratively with colleagues to enhance schemes of learning and resources Experience and Qualifications • Degree in DT, Product Design, Engineering or related discipline • PGCE with QTS (ECT status) • Strong practical and creative skills • Effective communication, organisation and reflective practice Salary Paid to scale – MPS (ECT level).
