Claverdon Primary School is seeking an experienced, organised and proactive School Business Manager to join our leadership team. Reporting to the Headteacher, you will lead and manage the school’s administrative, financial, premises and support services, ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day operations. The post is advertised for three days per week, with the option to increase hours depending on the structure of the school office and the experience of the successful candidate. These arrangements can be discussed during the interview process. You will oversee the school’s finance function, working closely with the School Finance Officer to ensure accurate budgeting, reporting and financial compliance. You will provide clear financial advice to the Headteacher and Governing Body, support strategic financial planning and monitor expenditure. The role includes line management of the School Finance Officer and School Administrator, ensuring effective teamwork, high-quality service and smooth office operations. You will also be responsible for health and safety, premises management and the efficient use of resources. This includes liaising with contractors, overseeing maintenance, supporting site security and managing facilities, data systems, statutory returns and procurement to ensure value for money and compliance. We are looking for someone with strong leadership, excellent organisational skills and a keen eye for detail, who can work collaboratively with staff, governors and external partners.
