A Fantastic Opportunity: Sustainability and Responsible Business Reporting Officer
This role will support the Responsible Business Lead to deliver the organisation’s Responsible Business framework, which sets out SP Electricity North West’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) priorities, aligned to the wider policies of Scottish Power and Iberdrola. The role will focus primarily on the social sustainability and governance aspects of ESG, supporting the delivery of our STEM education programme and community initiatives, promoting volunteering, and building relationships throughout the business to embed responsible practices. The role will coordinate quarterly and annual data collection, analysis, reporting and governance activities in support of non-financial reporting, social impact and sustainability reporting obligations.
We are looking for an organised and enthusiastic individual with attention to detail and excellent communication skills, who can coordinate a diverse portfolio of responsible business activity. Experience of corporate reporting would be ideal and a passion for sustainability and responsible business is a must.
 * Support the collection, analysis, and reporting of non-financial and sustainability reporting data
 * Contribute to the promotion and management of the company’s colleague-led charitable donations fund and colleague volunteering initiative and ensure corresponding data and records are well maintained
 * Support the education program through participation in Science Fairs and Career Fairs as required
 * Assist the Responsible Business Lead in managing the company's education program
 * Work with internal communications colleagues to ensure sustainability stories are socialised
 * Ensure that Responsible Business web pages are kept up to date
 * Promote sustainability awareness through contributing to the development and delivery of sustainability campaigns and staff engagement activities
 * Keep abreast of corporate responsibility developments and best practice and bring forward improvement ideas
 * Support the preparation of social impact reports, presentations, and communications.
 * Project support as required.
The successful candidate must, at the start of employment have permission to work in the UK without sponsorship.
For this role we are able to consider flexible working and part time options (pro-rata). The role also benefits from the opportunity for agile working with agreed office days. Some travel across the north west will be expected.
What we’re looking for
We welcome applications from individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences who meet the following criteria:
 * Degree education, ideally in a related discipline such as Sustainability or Corporate responsibility
 * Strong organisational and project management skills
 * Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
 * Passion for sustainability and community impact
 * Experience of managing community programs
 * Experience of sustainability governance and reporting, ideally within a corporate setting
 * Experience in responsible business principles and reporting against external benchmarks (i.e. BITC etc.)
 * Familiarity with global sustainability standards, such as GRI, ESRS and UN Global Goals
 * Delivery of responsible business program management e.g. volunteering or education programs
 * Experience of ESG / Responsible Business communications and promotion (website / social media etc
