Job Purpose and work duties
Job purpose:
PERSONAL ASSISTANT
* To support my child within the home or accessing social opportunities within the community.
* She was born in 2018 and she lives at home with her family in a terraced property. She requires support across all daily activities. She enjoys music, jumping, shopping trips, and engaging with the world around her. She has been diagnosed with Autism and attends a mainstream school but accessed for a special needs school. She uses a supportive equipment for long distance walk, she is also not aware of danger and prone to run off most times.
Work Duties will include:
* Identify Local Social Activities: Research and suggest suitable community events, clubs, and activities that align with her interests.
* Motivating and Encouraging Participation:Engage her in various activities and encourage participation to help her build confidence and social skills.
* Developing Social Skills:Facilitate playdates and group activities that promote social interaction and peer relationships.
* Assisting with Daily Activities: Provide support with personal care, meal times, and other daily routines as required.
* Promoting Safety: Ensure the child’s safety during outings and at home, implementing effective strategies to manage her awareness of danger.
* Other Requirements:
* Effective Communication: Establish and maintain effective communication with the child and parents, always respecting confidentiality.
* Safety Assurance: Always prioritize the child’s safety and well-being in all activities.
* Requirements for applicant (include any specialised training if required)
· Imagination in relation to activities to undertake
· Good sense of humour
· Flexible, reliable and honest
· Physically fit, agile and energetic
· Understanding of autism essential
· Full driving license with business insurance within your policy
· DBS Check will be completed

* Term Time – 4 hours per week
