CNC Maintenance Engineer

We're supporting a globally recognised aerospace manufacturer in Denham with the appointment of a CNC Maintenance Engineer. The role focuses on planned preventative maintenance and first‑line breakdown support across a range of CNC machine tools used to produce safety‑critical components for military aviation.
Key responsibilities
Conduct planned preventative maintenance on 4‑ and 5‑axis CNC machining centres and CNC turning machines
Carry out routine servicing, inspections, and scheduled maintenance tasks
Provide basic fault‑finding and initial breakdown response
Deliver electrical and mechanical maintenance across the production facility
Use hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and electrical testers
Maintain machinery to high standards to reduce downtime
Work in line with Health & Safety regulations and ensure equipment compliance
Required experience
Background in maintaining CNC machine tools (machining centres and/or lathes)
Electrical qualifications including IEE 18th Edition (17th Edition considered if willing to upgrade)
Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving ability
Confident using hand tools and electrical testing equipment
GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent)
Good manual dexterity

Days: 08:00–17:00 Mon–Thu / 08:00–12:00 Fri
