Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant / Bank Staff
Location: Milton Keynes
Rate: 90 - 110 per day (dependent on experience and role)
Hours: Term time only, flexible bank/supply work available
Start Date: September 2025 (or ASAP)
About the Role
We are looking for bank or supply staff to support a SEND specialist setting in Bletchley, Milton Keynes. This setting provides a supportive and nurturing environment for individuals aged 7-19 years with Autism Spectrum Disorder, communication difficulties and challenging behaviour. You will be a consistent, positive presence who motivates and supports pupils throughout their education journey, covering staff absences and busy periods to help ensure everyone continues to thrive.
Responsibilities
* Work alongside teachers and support staff to help children with a range of additional needs
* Provide 1:1 and small group support, both in and out of the classroom
* Encourage independence, social skills, and learning through tailored support
* Adapt to the needs of individual pupils and follow personalised learning plans
* Be part of a collaborative, caring team that values every child
Key Requirements
* Experience working with children (school-based or otherwise) – desirable but not essential
* A passion for supporting children with SEND and a patient, caring approach
* Flexibility, reliability, and willingness to adapt to the needs of the school
* A proactive attitude and commitment to safeguarding children

This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references, health clearance, social media screening, and a probation period.
