An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, highly motivated, and hard-working individual to undertake the role of Clerical Officer within Health Record Services. Dealing with Anaesthetics and Theatres is a rare and exciting opportunity with scope for learning new administration skills.
It is essential that you can work as part of a large team, but also use your own initiative on several daily tasks. You must be an excellent communicator with good interpersonal skills. You will manage your workload efficiently and be able to work under pressure but still be able to complete your workload to a high standard.
You must have previous clerical experience, knowledge of office procedures and a working knowledge of IT applications, databases, spreadsheets, updating rotas. Maintaining accurate filing systems for the department, photocopying, dealing with emails, telephone calls from patients and other ad hoc duties.
Good organisational skills are vital for this role, especially when working to meet the demands of the Anaesthetic & Theatres Department as well as strict timescales. It is essential that the post holder exercises initiative relative with the role and vital that confidentiality be always maintained when dealing with patient/staff information. Flexibility is essential in your approach to work.
Responsibilities
* Deal with administrative tasks within Health Record Services, including handling anaesthetics and theatres information where applicable.
* Work as part of a large team and use initiative on daily tasks while maintaining high standards of work under pressure.
* Maintain accurate filing systems; manage emails, telephone calls from patients and other ad hoc duties.
* Support office procedures, rotas, and IT systems (databases, spreadsheets) as required.

* Previous clerical experience and knowledge of office procedures.
* Working knowledge of IT applications, databases, spreadsheets; updating rotas.
