Why do we need you?
Urban Wilderness help make Longton Town Centre a vibrant place with big events and art installations.
What You Will Be Doing:
* Making things with your hands
* Learning new skills
* Working as part of a team
Help make and create exciting public artworks for Longton, celebrating this historic town and making it a vibrant place to live and visit. Unlock your creativity and learn new skills with a friendly group of makers at weekly drop-in sessions. You’ll work with local artists and be a part of bright and bold art projects for the town centre as well as the buzzing annual ‘Pig Walk’ carnival and other events.
We host drop ins:
* Every Wednesday between 10am - 12pm
* Alternative Fridays between 7pm - 9pm
Who will this suit?
* People who want to spend time with like-minded people.
* You can come alone or with friends or a group.
* People who enjoy working with their hands and enjoy being creative.
* People who want to make a difference within the community.
We’ll provide support, all equipment, drinks and snacks. Help with transport is available if required. Urban Wilderness offer a range of volunteer opportunities from Creative Makers to carnival crew and working with young people on art-based activity.
