Due to continued successful growth, we have an excellent opportunity to join our Fortem team working permanently with our partners at Town & Country Housing Repairs as a Carpenter Multi Skilled Trade in our Responsive Repairs team.
The Carpenter Multi Trade will be responsible for most aspects of property maintenance and repairs to Social Housing Properties covering a patch that stretches across North Kent, including Tunbridge Wells, Rochester, Dartford, and surrounding areas. Travel is essential.
Core hours are Monday-Friday, 8.00am-5.00pm.
As a Carpenter Multi Trade, you will ensure all work is undertaken to a high standard with minimal supervision. You will take ownership of work, aiming for 'First time Fix' on all jobs, operate within the company Health and Safety guidelines, and remain within budget and time parameters, while being courteous and professional around tenants.
The Customer
Town & Country Housing Repairs deliver a full Repairs and Maintenance service, Voids, and Retrofit services to almost 9,000 houses. Their business plan outlines potential to double in size and value, leading to growth and development opportunities.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Complete responsive repairs and maintenance works as per specifications, in a timely and productive manner.
* Advise Supervisor promptly when other trades are required.
* Work collaboratively with other operatives to complete projects.
* Record and submit accurate data using relevant business systems and electronic devices.
* Provide excellent customer service to client representatives.
* Arrange purchase of materials required to deliver the works efficiently.
* Comply with safeguarding policies and H&S standards.
* Operate within the company’s occupational road risk policies and procedures.
* Use a PDA smartphone to communicate daily with the Repairs Planning team and colleagues to update progress and completion information.
What you will need
Essential criteria: NVQ/City & Guilds qualifications or equivalent, or qualified by experience; Full UK driving licence (max 5 points).
Desirable criteria: Social Housing experience.
