Overview
Electrical Estimator role at Briggs & Forrester Living. The position is based with the Engineering Services South East regional team, Northampton head office.
Responsibilities
* Produce detailed tender bids and cost plans.
* Manage the day-to-day tender process to ensure deadlines are met.
* Attend mid and post tender meetings and interface with existing and prospective clients.
* Communicate with sub-contractors and supplier companies, using existing contacts and generating new leads.
* Work as part of a team to promote a constructive working environment.
* Ensure tender documents are reviewed and understood (e.g., Prelims, Terms & Conditions, BREEAM, Fire Strategy, Acoustics, BIM).
Requirements
* Comprehensive technical knowledge of all aspects of Electrical building services.
* Ability to attend, present and chair both internal and external meetings.
* Commercial acumen to ensure tenders are financially sound.
* Ability to work as part of a team with strong interpersonal skills.
* Experience in including M&E abnormalities for both disciplines.
* Pro-active and approachable attitude.
* Agree strategy for use of specialist names or ‘equal’ alternatives detailed within documents.
