Associate Director – Building Regulation Consultancy
Large Established Multi-Disciplinary Consultancy
Location: Flexible / Hybrid (UK)
A leading multi-disciplinary consultancy is looking to appoint an Associate Director to join its growing Building Safety team. Due to continued success securing building safety consultancy work across England, the team is expanding and looking for an experienced professional with strong knowledge of Building Regulations and the Building Safety Act.
This role will involve advising clients and design teams on their duties under the Building Regulations 2010 and the Building Safety Act 2022, including delivering the Building Regulations Principal Designer function. You will work across a varied portfolio of projects including both Higher Risk Buildings and non-HRB schemes, supporting compliance strategies, reviewing design information and working closely with project stakeholders.
The position would suit someone with strong experience interpreting and applying building regulations within a design compliance, building control or building safety consultancy environment. Candidates should be confident working with design teams and clients, reviewing submissions, undertaking compliance audits and helping deliver practical regulatory solutions.
Key requirements include strong technical knowledge of Building Regulations, experience in a building safety or building control environment and excellent stakeholder communication skills. Chartered membership with CABE, CIOB or RICS would be beneficial.
