Overview
An experienced Support Assistant is required for 1 hour per day Monday to Friday (term-time) to support a 13 year old boy get ready for school and safeguarding which enables his mum to supports his siblings. There are also 5 hours (term-time) alternate weekends which are flexible/negotiable. It is essential that the successful candidate MUST be experienced in SEN/Special Needs.
The hours are: 8am till 9am. There is also 2 x 6 hours in school holidays (days/times flexible).
The boy has ADHD and Asperger's; he requires encouragement and patience and ideally to take him to school, therefore the support assistant must have access to a car.
The rate of pay is £13.25 per hour. A DBS will be required for this position. Please apply by CV quoting ref: D849.

Responsibilities
* Assist with morning routine and getting the boy ready for school
* Provide safeguarding support and a positive, calm presence
* Support transport to school when required (driving may be necessary)
* Support during term-time weekends (flexible/negotiable) and school holidays (days/times flexible)
* Communicate with parents/guardians and coordinate with others involved in care
Qualifications
* Experience in SEN/Special Needs required
* DBS check required
* Driving Licence preferred
