A great opportunity has become available for a Banking Assistant to join our team at DS Smith Business Services in Caerphilly, Wales, to assist in the delivery of world‑class accounting and reporting services to UK businesses.
You will be responsible for ensuring bank payments are processed and recorded accurately and bank reconciliations are completed in a timely manner.
About the role
You will be responsible for managing the completion of daily general ledger bank postings and weekly bank reconciliations as well as the processing of banking and treasury payments through the Group’s Treasury Management System.
Duties include:
* Daily general ledger postings from bank clearing accounts
* Weekly bank reconciliations
* Daily cash posting and allocation to the accounts receivable ledger
* Inbox management
* Daily processing of banking and treasury payments
* Liaising with Group Treasury and external banking customer relationship teams
Minimum requirements
* Basic understanding of accounting processes
* Strong attention to detail
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Good Microsoft Office skills (particularly Excel)
Preferred requirements
* Previous similar role
* SAP experience desirable
