In your role as a Unit Manager at HC-One, you'll value one thing above all: kindness. It carries across every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Every single person who works here understands that our residents are people just like them, with their own stories to tell. By joining us, you'll have a wonderful opportunity to give something back to those people.
Being a Unit Manager means taking responsibility for a specific part of the home and delivering the very best level of care. You will also be responsible for running the entire home when the Home Manager and Deputy Home Manager are absent. Whether you're reporting mobility issues, asking a gentleman to provide a sample for monitoring, or administering medication, you'll always prioritize resident dignity and well-being.
We are passionate about ensuring that our current and future colleagues can be their true selves, and that our workforce reflects the communities we serve. We prioritize inclusive working practices and invite applicants from all backgrounds to join our HC-One family.
We want you to have an amazing experience working at HC-One, starting with our commitment to providing a quick turnaround from offer to start date.
Requirements for this role include proven leadership skills in a care home for vulnerable adults, a positive energy, and the ability to get along with people. You should be ready to take accountability, communicate considerately and kindly, and recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training and to know how to report concerns appropriately.
