Job Description We have an exciting opportunity for individuals seeking a role in the electronic assembly department with one of our clients based in Ashby de la Zouch. Our client is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Assembler to join their team with an immediate start. This is a temporary ongoing position with the potential to transition into a temp-to-perm role for the right candidate. The working hours are Monday to Friday, from 07:30 to 16:00, totalling 40 hours per week. The starting salary for this role is £12.21 per hour, which translates to an annual salary of £25,396. There are opportunities for overtime, paid at 1.5x the rate from Monday to Saturday and 2.0x on Sundays. Once fully trained, the pay rates can increase to £12.47 basic (grade 2) and £13.46 basic (grade 3). Key Responsibilities as an Assembler: Assembling, installing, and testing machinery and equipment per technical specifications. Following instructions from the Production Manager and Quality Control Engineer. Collaborating with team members to enhance production efficiency and maintain product quality. Performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting assembly issues as required. Assisting with stock control and inventory management. Conducting packaging, labelling, and preparation of machines for dispatch. Carrying out additional duties assigned by the supervisor, including material handling, packing, and loading of finished goods. Performing thorough testing of machines to ensure quality and functionality. Qualifications required for the Assembler: Previous experience in a manufacturing or assembly role.
