We are seeking a skilled Saw Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in working with various hand tools and sheet metal. As a Saw Operator, you will play a crucial role in the fabrication process, ensuring high-quality cuts and assembly of materials. Responsibilities
* Operate saws and other cutting machinery to produce precise cuts on steel metal and other materials.
* Assemble components as per specifications, ensuring accuracy and quality in the final product.
* Grind edges and surfaces to achieve the desired finish on fabricated items.
* Fabricate parts using appropriate tooling and techniques, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
* Perform routine maintenance on machinery and tools to ensure optimal performance.
* Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and maintain workflow efficiency.
* Conduct quality checks on finished products, utilising basic maths skills for measurements and calculations.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Saw Operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and specifications.
* Proficiency in using hand tools and machinery relevant to metal fabrication.
