HAYLEY DEXIS are looking for an External Sales Engineer to join our well-established and expanding team based at our pumps division, covering the M1 corridor.
About the role:
As our External Sales Engineer – Pumps, you will be joining a well-established and experienced team, to help provide excellent customer service and to support our branch Network. In this role you will get the opportunity to build rapport and credibility with our branches and their customers and become part of an ever-expanding company.
This is a great role for an engineer/fitter who has pump experience and wants to try a different role in external sales. The role is to support several of the branches and their sales personnel located in different parts of the UK which we split into three Areas. The area we are looking for is below Manchester either operating down the M5 or M1 corridor covering the south of the UK. The local Hayley Dexis branch representative is the main sales contact with their customers, but they need technical help finding solutions for their customers issues, or to help their customers understand different styles of pumps that may be more beneficial for their application from an energy or maintenance point of view. Full product and sales training is available for the right applicant.
Working hours:
Monday to Friday, working 40 hours per week

Key responsibilities as our External Sales Engineer - Pumps:
* Visiting and building relationships with existing branches and their customers.
* Supporting the Hayley Branch Network in developing sales area to look for potential new customers.
* Generating sales leads in partnership with Hayley branch representatives and Strategic Accounts.
* Converting quotations into customer orders.
* Collaborating with your team on quotations and enquiries.
Skills we're looking for in our External Sales Engineer - Pumps:
* Experience of working in an engineering/sales environment is essential, ideally pumps related.
* Full, clean driving licence.
* Customer-focused, driven to provide consistently high levels of service.
* Enthusiastic, keen, and willing to learn.
* Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
* Strong level of communication and numerical skills.
