The Role As a Quantity Surveyor, youll take ownership of the commercial management of our projects, ensuring robust financial control and compliance from start to finish. Reporting to the Commercial Manager for the project, youll oversee a range of financial elements, from preparing and reviewing cost plans and tender documentation to evaluating change events and managing risk. Working closely with clients, subcontractors, and project teams, youll ensure commercial objectives are achieved, budgets are maintained, and JCT contracts are administered effectively. Additionally, you will: - Lead on cost forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis - Manage subcontractor procurement, payments, and performance - Produce monthly valuations and maintain the risk and opportunity registers - Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders About You To be considered as a Quantity Surveyor, you will have: - A minimum of five years experience in quantity surveying, ideally with a main contractor - A background in the prime residential sector and structural experience is highly desirable - Strong knowledge of JCT contract forms - Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills - A degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline Other organisations may call this role QS, Estimator, Construction Estimator, Construction Quantity Surveyor, Cost Manager, or Commercial Surveyor.
