As an Independence Assistant, you will be working as a teaching assistant supporting professionals across the curriculum and school, working directly with pupils to support their learning, providing 1:1 support and interventions.

Hours 8:30am – 3:30pm (4:30 on a Tuesday for staff meeting)
What your role will include:
Work closely alongside the class teachers to implement support strategies within the classroom, creating resources as required and requested.
Plan, prepare and deliver activities to advance pupil’s learning as necessary within agreed systems of supervision.
Contribute to high quality learning experiences using a variety of delivery and support methods.
Support the class teacher, and work individually, to assess, record and report on baseline assessments, development and progress.
Promote pupil’s personal development and independence.
What we need from you:
Experience with diverse age groups
Understanding of SEND: A thorough understanding of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Positive Behaviour Support: Ability to support and promote positive behaviour in pupils.
To be eligible for this role:
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years
