An excellent opportunity has arisen for a full-time SEND Teaching Assistant to join a mainstream secondary school in from October 2025. You will work with bright and ambitious pupils aged 1318, providing behavioural support, emotional support, and academic guidance.

Role Overview As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in helping students achieve success both in and out of the classroom. You will work closely with pupils, teachers, and support staff to deliver a balanced support system that encourages learning and personal development.
Key responsibilities include: Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups across a range of subjects. Assisting with behaviour management and encouraging a positive learning environment. Providing emotional support to help pupils build confidence and resilience. Promoting academic progress in line with each students individual needs. Gaining first-hand experience in SEND, behaviour management, and academic support. This role is ideal for graduates considering careers in teaching, educational psychology, clinical psychology, or other education-related fields.

Candidate Requirements A minimum of a 2:1 degree from a UK university. Experience working with children or young people is desirable (voluntary or paid). A patient, empathetic, and resilient nature.
