Job Description
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Payable Clerk in a growing business based full-time in our Basingstoke office. The role will be shared with an existing Accounts Payable Clerk, with responsibilities including:
1. Processing purchase invoices and credit notes through Vantage, PTP, and Baan
2. Processing intercompany invoices and credit notes
3. Reviewing employee credit card expenses monthly
4. Administering engineer expenses monthly
5. Processing Bacs and manual payments ensuring approvals in line with DOA
6. Posting and allocating payments in Baan
7. Monthly reconciliation of supplier accounts
8. Responding to AP queries and resolving discrepancies
9. Setting up and maintaining suppliers
10. AP month-end and year-end processing, including reconciliations and audits
11. Assisting with forecast and payment targets
12. Ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and internal controls
13. Maintaining AP records and documentation
14. Handling ad hoc projects related to AP
Person Specification
* Transactional role focusing on day-to-day accounts payable processes
* Ability to manage high volume of transactional work
* Pro-active ‘can do’ attitude
* Experience with intercompany posting and reconciliation (desired)
* Team player with attention to detail
* Excellent communication skills
* Confident, independent, and able to challenge non-compliance
* Ideally AAT qualified with 5+ years experience
* Experience in handling complex queries and driving efficiencies
* Well-organized and deadline-driven
