The Technology Investment Banking team at Citi is a leading franchise with deep expertise across the technology sector, covering sub-verticals including Software, AI, Internet, IT services, FinTech and more. The Investment Banking Senior Analyst role is a junior level position responsible for supporting the team in providing clients with strategic advisory services for mergers, acquisitions and other types of financial transactions, as well as assisting clients in raising capital.
Responsibilities
* Work with senior bankers on client transactions, projects or assignments as the junior member of the Investment Banking team.
* Prepare written recommendations, valuation materials and statistical exhibits for pitches and live deals.
* Organize and analyze sophisticated financial data used in client proposals and strategic plans.
* Conduct economic/financial research and research overall industry and market trends.
* Evaluate company financial performance.
* Build complex financial models for valuation/M&A analysis.
Qualifications
* Prior experience in investment banking, private equity or related fields.
* Strong interest in working with technology companies.
* Experience evaluating corporate transactions and structures.
* Experience in creating financial analyses, including strong financial modeling skills and valuation analysis.
* Strong presentation skills.
* Demonstrated problem‑solving and organizational skills.
* Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
* Experience assisting with client development.
* Ability to work with teams and track business development (collect research, analyze industry trends).
* Ability to work under pressure in a rapidly changing environment to meet deadlines.
Education
* Bachelor's degree / university degree or equivalent experience at a top tier academic institution.
Certification Regime
This role is a Certified Role, subject to the FCA and PRA Certification Regime.
