As a Global IT Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of strategic technology initiatives that drive transformation and innovation across the enterprise. You will be responsible for planning, budgeting, executing, and documenting projects to ensure they are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. Your initial focus will be to lead the organisation's transition to Microsoft Fabric and Power BI, enabling enterprise-wide Business Intelligence capabilities. This programme will support the Finance Transformation Programme and establish a robust foundation for the future adoption of Artificial Intelligence.
Following the successful delivery of this initiative, you will take ownership of other high-impact business programmes supported by IT, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and value creation. The role offers flexible start and finish times and is based at our Birmingham City Centre office on a hybrid working basis.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of strategic IT projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder expectations.
2. Coordinate internal resources and third-party vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
3. Develop detailed project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
4. Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
5. Drive the implementation of Microsoft Fabric and Power BI to enable enterprise-wide Business Intelligence solutions.
6. Support the Finance Transformation Programme and establish a foundation for future Artificial Intelligence adoption.
7. Work as an effective member of multi-locational teams, demonstrating leadership and fostering collaboration.
Qualifications
* Degree or equivalent in a relevant field (Computer Science or similar).
* Sufficient progressive experience in IT and Project Management, ideally within a global or matrixed organisation.
* Familiarity with Business Intelligence platforms such as Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a proactive approach to risk and issue management.
Desirable Skills
* Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) is desirable.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of the organisation.
* Experience with Planview or a similar cloud-based project management tool.
