Brief Description
As an operations delivery Supervisor within the central route, you will develop, implement, and deliver agreed possession, worksite, and isolation plans safely and efficiently. You will provide a range of safety-critical duties to the route. The role also supports added-value activities such as litter and graffiti clearance, as well as seasonal and weather-related tasks.
This position is part of the Central Route Possession, Worksite, and Isolation Management Team.
About The Role (External)
Every day is different but you will be involved in :
Assisting the operations delivery manager in developing the possession plan, attending key possession meetings, and ensuring all changes follow the formal process. The role requires strong knowledge of possession and isolation arrangements, worksite limits, train movements, potential risks, and contingency planning. Responsibilities include coordinating briefing packs, delivering possessions safely and efficiently, and maintaining effective communication with the operations delivery manager, network rail control, and other stakeholders throughout delivery.
You will be involved in managing possession support staff, ensuring safe access points, conducting protection checks once possessions are granted, and reporting any irregularities or safety issues immediately. You will also oversee handover briefings between PICOPs, completing reports and KPIs, and using a full suite of competencies such as auxiliary operating duties, engineering supervisor, and machine controller. Presence at critical junctions, incident response, and support with weather-related activities are also essential aspects of the role.
In order to be successful in this role, we would like you to have/to be:
* Thorough understanding of operational railway safety, a working knowledge of rules and how to apply them.
* Broad understanding of possession planning and delivery
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
* (S)PICOP, IWA or COSS, Points Operator competencies
* Able to work shifts, predominately nightshift.
* Hold UK driving licence.
* IT literate

Salary: Band 6, £34,225 per annum dependent on competence. Network Rail adheres to a structured pay framework, any salary offered will be within the pay range advertised.
