About the role
As part of the Catering team, the Breakfast Chef is responsible for preparing and delivering the hotel's breakfast offerings and managing the kitchen in the absence of the Head and Sous Chefs. You'll work as part of our friendly team to ensure the efficient day-to-day running of the kitchen and to assist in providing a high-quality dining experience while maintaining sales, reputation, and profit of the kitchen as agreed by the Head Chef. You need to be flexible to work in different areas if required, and adhere to all health and safety requirements at all times.
Salary
The full-time (37.5 hour) salary range for this role is £26,200 - £38,000, with an expected salary of £31,440 - £45,599 based on a 45-hour week that we are currently recruiting for.
Contract type
This position is a Permanent contract.
Working pattern/flexible working
45 hours per week, 6am - 4pm, 5 days per week including weekends on a rota basis.
Location
This role is based at our Odney Club Hotel, Cookham, Berkshire.
Key responsibilities
* Assisting the Head Chef & Sous Chef to plan, produce, and deliver the hotel food offer and standards, in line with current trends and customer demand.
* Working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Meeting legislative requirements for catering, including allergens.
* Maintaining accurate records of equipment, cleaning schedules, temperature checks, and following all food safety policies.
Essential skills/experience
* Creative with a professional demeanor, able to work under pressure, demonstrating flair and a good palette with experience in a professional kitchen.
* Food Safety Level 2 qualification.
* Proven experience or professional Chef qualifications in a commercial kitchen.
Desirable skills/experience
* Food Safety Level 3 qualification.
